Burnout, fatigue, depression – how does this happen?
For various reasons, we have trouble regulating stress. Sometimes the root cause is a genetic problem. It may lead to an influence of stress hormones. For example, long stressful periods can change the distribution of cortisol and the serotonin levels (our hormone of well-being). A lack of serotonin can cause a negative effect on the emotions of the person. They might get depressed. Some people are so exhausted. It is very difficult for them to cope with everyday life.
Laboratory diagnostic testing is a basic tool. For example, it may make sense to test the hormonal balance within your body or check your neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine.
